The Santa Cruz Tallboy 4 takes a typical XC bike to a whole new level, with a streamlined design mimicking their longer travel bikes to allow you to really open up the taps shredding the trails. With slightly increased travel (130mm front, 120mm rear) and geometry sharing the same principles as Santa Cruz's longest travel travel bikes, this bike feels just as at home on cross country trails as it does on more extreme trails, making it a real all rounder thanks to a responsive and lightweight back end as well as having super-efficient suspension. Santa Cruz's own VPP suspension design works on the principle of having two links rotating in opposite directions connecting the front and rear triangles to create an extremely robust chassis. The Tallboy has relatively short chainstays to give the ride a lively and playful feel, while a reasonably low bottom bracket for low centre of gravity and 29 inch wheels make the bike super fast rolling and stable. The D model features an SX Eagle Drivetrain that provides 12 speeds and a wide gearing ratio to provide you with a gear for all gradients. You still get the Eagle performance and the benefits of a 1x drivetrain, all whilst keeping cost to a minimum. Whilst there may be a slight weight increase, the performance does not compromise. You also get SRAM Level hydraulic disc brakes, ensuring you can ride in all conditions with utter confidence. RockShox Recon RL provides the front suspension.
